Anna Hazare to keep fast tomorrow in support of Farmers

New Delhi: Social Activist Anna Hazare has expressed his support to Farmers called Bharat Bandh. 83 years old Anna Hazare will keep fast tomorrow in support of Bharat Bandh.

He also cautioned the farmers’ leaders to not trust the promises made by the government saying the written promises made to him by the PMO, Union minister of agriculture and other ministers were never acted upon.

Talking to Media in his village Ralegan Siddhi, Hazare said,  “My request to farmers is that it’s important that the agitation going on in Delhi should spread across the country. Pinch the government’s nose so that it opens its mouth. For this, it’s important that farmers across the country come out on roads. Then only the issues will be resolved for all times.”

About tomorrow’s Bharat bandh, Farmer leader Nirbhay Singh Dhudike told media, “Our protest is not limited to Punjab. Even leaders from across the globe, like Trudeau from Canada, are supporting us. Ours is a peaceful protest.”

All India Traders (CAIT) will not support Bharat Bandh:

Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has stated that India’s traders & transporters are not participating in Bharat bandh tomorrow. CAIT Secretary-General Praveen Khandelwal said, “India’s traders & transporters are not participating in Bharat bandh tomorrow. We have full faith in the ongoing dialogue process.”
