US House will meet Wednesday to consider articles of impeachment against President Trump
Washington: House Democrats introduced an article of impeachment against President Trump over his incitement of the Capitol riot. Republicans blocked an initial attempt to pass a resolution calling on Mike Pence to use the 25th amendment to remove Trump from office.
According to AP, Democrats say the House will consider the impeachment of President Trump on Wednesday, one week after an angry mob of his supporters invaded the Capitol. The Democrats’ article of impeachment will charge Trump with incitement of insurrection.
The resolution, backed by at least 210 Dems, says Trump “engaged in high Crimes and Misdemeanors by inciting violence against the Government of the United States”
