Muslim Prayed at home on Shab e Barat

New Delhi: People remained indoors and refrained from public gathering on the night of Shab_e_baraat amid Coronavirus lockdown. In Delhi Police personnel were deployed at the Turkman Gate area in view of Shab-e-Barat.

“We had appealed to people to stay at home and refrain from public gathering. People have followed the Coronavirus Lockdown”, says Sanjay Bhatia, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central).

Delhi Police is monitoring the situation through drone cameras in Daryaganj area amid lockdown due to COVID19 Pandemic.

Earlier, several Muslim guru’s and political leaders had appealed to the Muslims to offer prayers in the house on Shab-e-Barat.

All India Imam Association President, Omar Ahmad Ilyasi said, ‘I request my Muslim brothers and Imams that Shab-e-Baaraat is going to start tomorrow, then all of you follow the lockdown and Section 144 and Pray prayer in your houses.
