COVID-19: Total number of positive cases reach 5,274

New Delhi: According to Health Ministry, the total number of coronavirus cases in india reached 5,274 on Wednesday, including 4714 active cases and 149 deaths.

7 new coronavirus cases detected in Gujarat today. Total 186 cases have been reported so far in the state, out of which 143 are active cases. 2 cases are on ventilator. According to Health Department There has been no COVID19 related death or discharge since last bulletin.

19 new coronavirus positive cases have been reported in Andhra Pradesh today. Total positive cases in the state stands at 348.

Two more coronavirus positive cases have been reported in Uttarakhand today, taking the total number of positive cases to 35.

Two more coronavirus positive deaths have been reported in Pune (Maharashtra) today. Death toll rises to 18 of which 10 deaths have been reported today.

40 more coronavirus positive cases have been reported in Rajasthan today. Total cases in the state stands at 383.

With 93 new #COVID19 positive cases today, total number of positive cases in Delhi rise to 669. Total 9 deaths have been reported till now. According to Delhi Government, All the 93 new COVID19 positive cases reported today are linked with Nizamuddin Markaz event .

Some Areas Sealed in UP, Delhi & Madhya Pradesh:

Coronavirus cases in Uttar Pradesh stands at 343 including 26 people who have completely recovered and discharged. Out of the 343 cases, 187 are of Tablighi Jamaat attendees .

Uttar Pradesh government has identified 15 districts as the hotspot of coronavirus. According to Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Awasthi, ‘The 100% lockdown in the hotspots of the 15 districts will remain till the morning of April 15.’

He said ‘Wearing of masks has been made compulsory in the state. There can be legal action also for not wearing masks.’

‘Districts which have 6 or more cases are Agra, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Kanpur Nagar, Varanasi, Shamli, Meerut, Bareilly, Bulandshahr, Basti, Saharanpur, Maharajganj & Sitapur. Lockdown will be observed in the hotspots in these districts’, He added

Whereas Delhi Government has decided to seal some areas, found as Covid-19 hotspot. According to Delhi Government, ‘Wearing face mask is now made compulsory in Delhi’.

Madhya Pradesh Government has identified three districts as Covid-19 hotspot.  Government has decided to seal Indore, Bhopal & Ujjain to be completely sealed as there are more Coronavirus cases in these cities. District admin to ensure the supply of essential commodities in these areas. Nobody will be allowed to go in&out of these areas.
