Congress leaders demand arrest of Republic TV Anchor Arnab Goswami

New Delhi: Republic TV has come under all circumstances after the objectionable remarks made by anchor Arnab Goswami against Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi.

During the live debate about Plaghar Mob lynching, Arnab Goswami made some objectionable remarks on Congress Interim President Sonia Gandhi.

After this incident, Many Congress leaders have filled Police complaint against the Republic TV and Arnab Goswami. Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot said Arnab ‘has gone insane’. Demanding action against Arnab, Gehlot asked the Republic TV owner to sack Arnab. Congress Spokesperson RS Surjewala also took to Twitter to condemn Goswami.

All India Woman Congress Committee President Sushmita Dev said, ‘Arnab Goswami is PURE TRASH as a journalist. Republic channel was set up & funded only to churn out such filth. The Govt. is happy to let such atrocious journalism thrive & gone out of the way to scuttle journalism of integrity.’

The Karnatka Congress leader, Y B Srivatsa called upon Congress activists to raise the demand for the arrest of Goswami. He said on twitter, ‘Arnab’s place is not in a TV Studio, It’s in a ASYLUM, It’s in JAIL. Arrest this man for being the single biggest source of paid communal journalism. Enough of him sowing hatred between Indians on live TV.’

Maharashtra state Congress President, Balasaheb Thorat said, ‘I condemn the efforts made by Arnab Goswami to communalise the unfortunate incident in Palghar and the derogatory language used against Congress’s interim president Sonia Gandhi.”

He said that I have spoken to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in this entire episode. I have been assured that strict action will be initiated against Arnab Goswami and Republic TV.
