Azadpur and other Mandis to support “Bharat Bandh”

New Delhi: Azadpur Mandi Chairman, Adil Ahmed Khan has said that Delhi’s Azadpur Mandi and all other mandis in the city to remain closed tomorrow, in support of ‘Bharat Bandh’ call made by farmers.

Haryana CM blames opposition for misguiding farmers:

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has blamed opposition for misguiding farmers on farm laws. He said, “Opposition parties are doing petty politics in the name of farmers, it’s condemnable. Public & farmers should understand that there is no harm in implementing the laws that have been enacted for the progress of farmers. PM has assured that MSP will continue.”

Former Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal writes to PM Modi:

Former Punjab CM Prakash Singh Badal has wrote a letter to PM Modi saying, “I’m deeply worried about ongoing farmers’ crisis. It seems to me that issue could’ve been dealt with better if govt had paid greater attention to honest feedback on what farmers really thought of govt’s initiatives.”

Letter further says,”Three Acts in question that have pushed the country into deep turmoil must be withdrawn without making farmers & their families endure any more suffering in this biting cold. Issue doesn’t concern farmers alone but affects entire economic fabric of country.”

Progressive Farmer Club delegation meet Agriculture Minister in support of Farm Laws:

A delegation of 20 farmers mainly from Haryana met Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar today to lend support to the farm laws.

After meeting Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Kanwal Singh Chauhan, President, Progressive Farmers Club, Sonipat said, “Farmers who are protesting are misguided. PM has assured that MSP and mandi system will remain.”
