Assam Government to allow retail liquor outlets from Monday
Guwahati: Assam Government has decided to allow the opening of retail liquor outlets from April 13. The notification states that all liquor shops shall remain open from 10:00AM to 5:00 PM on the permitted days, and follow social distancing.
29 cases of coronavirus including one death have been reported in the state. A private hospital in Dimapur, Nagaland referred a patient to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) after he was found with symptoms of COVID19. He has tested positive and is undergoing treatment.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said,’In the near future, whatever program will be announced by Prime Minister, along with the people of Assam, all the political parties will stand by the side of PM to defeat COVID19.

Meanwhile, India has recorded 918 new COVID19 cases and 31 deaths in last 24 hours. According to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India’s total number of Coronavirus positive cases rises to 8447 (including 7409 active cases, 765 cured/discharged/migrated and 273 deaths).
